What is AMH?
Jamie 20sFemale
I often hear the term AMH, but I don’t really understand it. What role does AMH play in assessing female fertility, and how is it measured?

Answer from the Doctor
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is a protein hormone produced by the cells around a woman’s ovarian follicles. It helps regulate how follicles grow and mature.
AMH levels are measured through a simple blood test that can be done at any time during the menstrual cycle. The test helps estimate a woman’s ovarian reserve the number of eggs remaining in her ovaries.
By knowing your AMH level, doctors can better understand your fertility potential and guide you in making informed reproductive decisions.
