I would like to inquire about using EPF for IVF treatment. I have an EPF account, but my balance is insufficient as I am currently a housewife. As a legally married couple, is my husband able to use his EPF Account 2 to support the treatment, or are there other available options?

Under EPF guidelines, legally married spouses are permitted to use EPF savings from Account 2 to cover eligible IVF treatment expenses. In such cases, a husband may utilize his Account 2 balance to support his wife’s treatment.
Alternatively, couples may also opt for a joint withdrawal, using funds from both partners’ EPF Account 2 balances, subject to EPF eligibility criteria and required documentation.
It is advisable to confirm the latest requirements and supporting documents with EPF or the treating healthcare provider before submitting a withdrawal application.
