Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means it stays in your body longer and isn’t easily flushed out. Supplements should be used to correct a deficiency not taken continuously without monitoring.
Check your Vitamin D levels at least once every 1–2 years. If your levels are already within the normal range, there’s no need to keep taking the supplement regularly.
