Answer from the Doctor
I think intermittent fasting is a good practice but it is a fat diet. You cannot be practising it for the rest of your life. One of the problems with intermittent fasting is that after they fast for 16 hours, they will eat excessively. This is definitely not good for your health. For women with PCOS, exercise is more important than a fat diet. I would advise you to eat well, reduce your carbs intake and exercise is the key for women with PCOS. Sometimes, you do not need the weight loss. You just need to increase your muscle mass to increase your metabolic rate. If you want to try intermittent fasting, you must remember to couple it with a sensible diet.
